☀️ SORA ~ MY SUNSHINE BOY

WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN WITH THIS MAN. Sora is genuinely one of the most lovable characters I've ever encountered. He's kind without being boring, optimistic without being oblivious to how awful the world can be, and he has this ridiculous ability to keep moving forward even when everything around him is falling apart.

He cares so much. About his friends, about people he's barely met, about people who probably don't even think they deserve to be cared about. He will see someone suffering and immediately go “that's my problem now” and throw himself into danger without a second thought. AND HIS STUPID LITTLE SMILE??? HELLO??? There's something really special about how Sora's strength isn't just about being powerful. It's his heart. His willingness to believe in people. His determination to reach someone even when everyone else has given up on them.

He's just... Sora.

My sunshine. My idiot. My beloved keyblade wielder.

10/10 husband. Would let him drag me into another dimension.



🌙 RIKU ~ MY OTHER HUSBAND WHO DEFINITELY HAS EMOTIONAL ISSUES

Riku.

RIKU.

I need everyone to understand that this man has been through approximately seventeen lifetimes of emotional turmoil and somehow came out the other side with an absolutely immaculate character arc. His entire journey from wanting power, falling into darkness, realizing what he'd done, and then actually confronting the consequences of his choices??? HELLO???? What I love most about Riku is that he doesn't just magically become a good person after making mistakes. He has to live with them. He has to confront his own darkness and accept that it's part of him. And somehow that makes him even more compelling. Also he has that whole quiet, composed, slightly intimidating thing going on, but underneath that he's such a deeply caring person. He's the type of person who would probably say: “I'm fine.”

Meanwhile he has not been fine since 2002.

I LOVE HIM YOUR HONOR.

He deserves happiness, peace, and approximately twelve million hugs.

And yes, I married him too.



💙 VANITAS ~ MY PROBLEM CHILD

Ok.

THIS ONE. Vanitas has the audacity to walk into the narrative looking like THAT and then proceed to be one of the most complicated little freaks in the entire franchise.

He's cruel. He's sarcastic. He's dramatic. He's constantly antagonizing everyone around him. And I love him. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

Because underneath all that hostility is someone who is carrying an absolutely enormous amount of pain and insecurity. His entire identity is tangled up in how other people perceive him, what he thinks he is, and what he believes he's destined to become. And instead of handling any of those emotions like a normal person, apparently the solution is:

“I will become the most insufferable person you've ever met.”

AND IT WORKS.

He's fascinating because you can see the vulnerability underneath the nastiness. There are moments where the mask slips and suddenly you're like:

OH.

OH NO.

THERE'S A PERSON IN THERE.

And then five seconds later he's being an asshole again.

My beloved little disaster.

My problematic black-haired husband.

I can fix him.

(I absolutely cannot fix him.)



About all three of them...

then there's the fact that I apparently looked at:

☀️ The optimistic ray of sunshine

🌙 The emotionally reformed darkness boy

💙 The psychologically devastating asshole

and said:

“Yes. Those are my husbands.”

Honestly? I think they complement each other beautifully.

Sora brings the warmth.

Riku brings the stability.

Vanitas brings the unnecessary amount of emotional damage.

Together they make one extremely dysfunctional household and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I love these three idiots with my entire heart.

They're not just characters I like. They're characters who have stuck with me, made me feel things, inspired me, and become a huge part of why I love the stories they're from.
